Each summer Great Moose Adventures strives to be better for the kids and easier for the parents - please read below to check out some new information for the summer of 2018:


  • Big yellow bus transportation to/from Bracebridge & Gravenhurst was a huge success and will continue!
  • Day Camp overnight campouts on Wednesday and Thursday evenings will be  for kids aged 6 to 12 years old  
  • Day Camp overnight campouts will be for 2 nights this year for $113 (HST already included)
  • We now have 3 Residential (overnight)  Camps - Super Scientists, Animal Explorers & Voyageurs for ages 8 to 12
  • Leaders-in-training program has a 3 week, $750 (plus HST) super cool week including a canoe trip

Programs

Day Camp - Forest Rangers 

Ages 4 - 12
$250 no HST
9:00am to 3:30pm

Our day camp is education based; focusing on outdoor exploration, physical exercise and developing healthy life skills. 

A typical week of day camp includes:
  • healthy,  home-cooked lunches
  • educational, creative exploration
  • arts & crafts with natural materials
  • swimming & canoeing
  • high energy games & activities

Transportation - Bus service is available for all campers:

Bracebridge -  8:00 am & 4:00 pm @ $80 plus HST per week 

Gravenhurst - 8:30 am & 3:30pm @ $60 plus HST per week


* For parents providing transportation, drop off @ 9:00 & pick-up @ 3:30

Early drop/late pick-up available:

7:30 am to 4:30pm = $60 per week

7:30 am to 5:30pm = $80 per week

Optional sleepover campouts! 

For kids looking for an overnight experience - whether for the first time or not - our camp outs are an exciting way to spend a bit more time at camp and enjoy our evening programs. Activities include an extra afternoon session for swimming in the cool Kashe River and a special evening activity  (Wednesday = Games Night and Thursday = Camp Fire Night)! 

* Campers will sleep in our lodge with close supervision to make sure everyone is happy and safe

Please register for this in advance as we have limited spots that fill up quickly - 2 nights = $113.00 (HST already added)

Residential (overnight) Camps

Super Scientists

(ages 8 - 12) 

$385 plus HST

Tuesday @ 8:30 to Friday @ 3:00

Started last summer, this 4 day/3 night, sleep over camp, focuses on exploring and investigating the wonderful world of Science. 


Participants will have the opportunity to learn about chemistry, biology and physics within our natural environment - all the while having lots of fun and making new friends. Activities include:

  • hands-on science experiments
  • plant and animal study
  • nights hikes for owl calling and star gazing
  • swimming, canoeing and camping
  • arts & crafts with natural materials
  • games, challenges and forest activities


Voyageurs Overnight Camp
(ages 6-12)
$480 plus HST
Monday @ 8:30 to Friday @ 3:00
Our Voyageur program is the ideal overnight camp for younger campers looking for a safe and exciting over night adventure.

Focusing on canoeing, hiking, swimming, camping and forest discovery; campers will have the opportunity to explore nature while developing self-esteem, building new relationships & having fun.
A typical week at camp includes:

  • Monday to Friday sleepover camp 
  • canoeing  and swimming
  • team building challenges
  • healthy campfire cooking
  • canoe trips and camp-outs
  • daily physical exercise
  • exciting challenges & games

                          Animal Explorers

(ages 8 - 12)

$480 plus HST

Monday @ 8:30 to Friday @ 3:00pm

A new program this year focusing on animals native to Ontario. 


In this week long camp, participants will have the opportunity to explore and build animal habitats, discover the wonders of animal life through hands-on animal games, activities and challenges - including a visit from a live animal from our friends at Speaking of Wildlife! 


Camp includes:


  • canoeing,  swimming and camping
  • animal study through games and hands-on activities
  • arts & crafts with natural materials
  • animal shows with Great Moose resident animals and a special guest a wildlife rescue facility

Accommodations for all residential camps combine bunk bed fun nights in our cozy lodge and terrific tent nights to get the real camp experience in our magical forest! The combination of nights varies, pending age of campers, weather and camp programs. 


Transportation for Residential Camps - Bus service and early drop/late pick ups  are available on Monday morning and Friday afternoon: Bracebridge - 8:00 & 4:00  @ $16 +HST,  Gravenhurst - 8:30 & 3:30 @ $12 +HST
