Frequently Asked Questions?

Q - Where do the Explorers sleep?

A - We have Bunkies that sleep 3 campers each, and a wide variety of tents. Campers can give their preference.

Q - My child has never spent the night away, what can they expect?

A - Sleeping over is a big deal regardless of age or experience. We ensure the wellness and happiness of all campers by making sure that they know they are safe and in good hands. Our night staff sleep in tents directly next to the campers, with lots of lights around just in case someone gets up in the night. We have an experienced, mature Night Lead Teacher that works alongside our staff to help the campers settle and to deal with any homesick feelings that sometimes happen. This teacher is on duty throughout the night, completing checks to be sure everyone is asleep and happy.

Q - What happens if my child decides that they are not up for the sleepover either on Wednesday during the day or after the first night on Thursday?

A - This is no problem and happens all the time. We have paired the Explorers with the Day Campers, so that the Explorers can always choose to follow through with the day program only and skip the overnights.  We can easily be in contact with the parents to let them know of any changes. That being said, we usually keep this information from the campers to allow them to push their boundaries : )

Q - What happens if I only want to register for 1 night?

A - This is always an option, however, because spaces are limited - you need to register for the full program ( 2 nights) to hold your spot
