Voyageurs Overnight Camp 

By definition a Voyageur is an excellent woods person who travels from one spot to another,  living a life full of perilous adventure, grueling work and cheerful camaraderie. 

A Great Moose Adventure's Voyageur learns the craft of becoming a skilled woods person, travels from one program to another, lives the life of true adventure, participates in rewarding work and has the opportunity for joyful friendship - all within the boundaries of our amazing forests,  and safety of our experienced staff. 

Ages 9 - 12 years old

$500 per week, plus HST - $565 (short week - $400/$452)

Weekly themes for outdoor education focus 

Monday 9:00 am - Friday 5:00 pm

2 nights at camp + 2 night camping trip  

Combining our Forest STREAM outdoor educational program with canoeing, hiking, swimming, camping and forest discovery - campers will have the opportunity to explore nature while developing self-esteem, building new relationships and having fun.

Healthy, home-cooked meals with lots of choice to meet dietary needs

Beach day on Tuesday - including swimming & canoeing 

Transportation available for Bracebridge and Gravenhurst - Monday am & Friday pm

Instruction from experienced, passionate outdoor educators - 2 teachers per group

Option for Sunday night sleepover for campers with siblings joining the Canoe Trip or for families from out of town ($50 plus HST = $56.50) - dropping off between 5-6pm. Not available for Session 1, 3, 6 & 7

  • Camp-out location is less than 1 km away - close enough for safety, far enough to feel secluded : )
  • Pending weather & camper maturity, our Voyageur educators can opt to camp closer to the lodge
  • Voyageur campers join Day Campers for some Forest STREAM activities
  • Swim rules = life jackets for all swimming except Beach Day (swim test of 5 minutes treading water)
