Astrotourism with the Township of Gravenhurst - Star Gazing!

Muskoka’s “Home of the Stars” runs from October 17 to November 8 and features a roster of guided stargazing, folklore, and astronomy events across the region and Great Moose Adventures is hosting 2 nights on Friday, October 17 & Saturday, October 18.

This event helps attendees learn to identify constellations (e.g. Ursa Major, Cassiopeia), the Moon, notable planets, meteor showers, and how to use star charts and red‑light tools.

To add some night time excitement - our friends at Speaking of Wildlife will be joining us to show off some nocturnal animals!

Here is the nightly schedule:

8:00 - Flashlight Forest Scavenger Hunt
8:30 - Animal Show
8:45 - Venture Star Gazing
9:15 - Apple Roasting
10pm - End of Program
